My Process
Research
The UX Process begins with user research and competitive analysis. Identifying and understanding the user, their motivations, and their pain points is vital to creating intuitive user experiences for any product.
User Flow
Once the user’s needs are understood, storyboarding and wireframing help establish a proper user flow. The user flow focuses on minimizing pain points, identifying system tasks, and creating a smooth workflow.
Development
With a streamlined user flow, an intuitive design can be put together into a high fidelity prototype, and then developed and deployed into the product. Visual design elements complement the interaction design for a cohesive overall user experience.
Design Principles
Informed
User Experience is driven by an understanding of the user. User research, including user testing sessions is the bedrock of that understanding. A UX team that engages with current and prospective users will be able to design a better product.
Accessible
A good design is accessible to all users. Inclusive design should consider various handicaps, including nearsightedness, color-blindness, epilepsy, and physical impairments to the hands. When interfaces can be used by anyone, everyone benefits.
Tailored Design
Design should be carefully considered for the audience for which it is intended. Understanding the audience is vital to designing an experience that accomplishes its goals.
Delightful
Users will use products that work as intended. But users will want to use a product that provides a delightful experience. Delightful UX provides users with functionality, simplified workflows, and a positive experience.
